Cambodian rubber exports down by 15 pc: Official

PHNOM PENH (Xinhua): Cambodia's rubber exports dropped by 15.2 percent in 2008 compared with the previous year, due to falling demand and fierce competition, said English- language daily newspaper the Phnom Penh Post on Tuesday. In addition, domestic plantation was disappointing, which contributed to the downturn, too, said Ly Phalla, director of the General Directorate of Rubber Plantation.
